The most sustainable garment is one that already exists. Everything on SwapMy is pre-owned — nothing here is manufactured for the marketplace — so every sale is a piece staying in use instead of going into a bag by the door.

How the model helps

Every listing is second-hand. A piece sold here is a piece that keeps being worn.
Selling pays in Closet Credits, so the value stays in the marketplace and tends to come back out as another pre-owned piece rather than a new one.
Buy several pieces from the same closet and they ship together in one parcel, not one box each.
Listings are written and photographed by the member who owns the piece, including its wear — accurate description is what stops a garment from being returned or discarded.
